Preliminary Report On The God Masta (Marc Gaborieau)

A few months ago, i've contacted Mr. Marc Gaborieau himself via the CNRS website in Paris to ask him the authorization to publish on this blog his article written in 1969 on the Masta Cult in the Karnali region....He directly authorized me to publish it on this blog...

When i was in Kathmandu in April 2012, i've found, in a book edited by John T.Hitchcock and Rex L. Jones ( Spirit possession in the Nepal Himalayas ), the translation of this text in english that i give to you...

Here's the link to my french note on the Marc Gaborieau article :

GENOVA - PARIS - BRUXELLES

for the first time in Europe, three exhibitions are dedicated, in  the same time, at the primitive sculptures of western

Nepal.

An extraordinary circumstance that we hope will serve to spread the knowledge about this fascinating world, too often overlooked.
